“A Grinchy Review of Santa’s Selfie Holiday Lights”
Written by the Grinch Himself… Against His Better Judgement.
A Message From… The Grinch?!
“I MUST find some way to stop Christmas from coming!”
Well… too late.
Santa’s Selfie Holiday Lights in Lowell, Indiana has blasted Christmas cheer all over the place, and now even I, the Grinch, must admit it’s wonderful.
Yes, you heard me.
Wonderful.
Disgusting, isn’t it?
I slinked into the event expecting to be overwhelmed with noise, joy, smiles, and sparkles (ugh)… but instead, I discovered something far worse:
I actually liked it.
⭐ The Lights Were Too Bright… Too Sparkly… Too Magical
When I walked in, I squinted and grumbled because everything was twinkling.
Trees! Reindeer! Snowmen! Gingerbread families!
It was horrifyingly magical.
The kind of magic that makes your small Grinch heart beat one size too big.
As I stood there, the words of my younger, meaner self echoed:
“Oh, the noise, noise, noise, NOISE!”
But the only noise I heard was kids giggling, families laughing, and phones clicking.
And let me tell you… it wasn’t so bad.
🎁 The Kids Enjoyed Themselves… Which Really Ruined My Whole Plan
I watched children admire glowing trees, hug light-up reindeer, and pose with gingerbread characters.
Some even smiled so big I nearly melted.
“Maybe Christmas… doesn’t come from a store.”
I muttered to myself.
“Maybe Christmas, perhaps… means a little bit more.”
Don’t quote me on that.
Actually, yes, go ahead — it was quite wise.
📸 Santa’s Selfie Stations?
As I wandered through the rooms, I saw families capturing the most precious Christmas photos.
Phones were charged (as instructed).
Parents were joyful.
Kids were mesmerized.
And I, the Grinch, couldn’t even ruin a single picture.
The Kimberly Sut Group had created something so festive and heart-warming that even a green, grouchy, onion-breath holiday bandit like me couldn’t resist smiling.
Ugh.
It was awful.
It was wonderful.
🌟 Free Event? That’s the Worst Part.
You know how much I hate generosity, kindness, and free things.
And yet… here they were giving the whole community a holiday experience without charging a single Who-penny.
You know what the Whos would say?
“Welcome Christmas while we stand, heart to heart and hand in hand.”
And wouldn’t you know it — that’s exactly what it felt like inside.

🎄 The Grinch’s Final Verdict
I came to ruin the event.
I stayed because I loved it.
And now I’m telling all of Whoville (and Northwest Indiana) to go enjoy Santa’s Selfie Holiday Lights.
If a grumpy, Christmas-stealing, cave-dwelling hermit like me can admit it’s magical…
you’ll probably adore it.
